Counseling Center Of Palm Springs
About
I have been a licensed psychologist since 1988 and a licensed Marriage & Family Counselor since 1984, working in Beverly Hills and West L.A., now in Palm Springs. I specialize in working with indivduals who have experienced trauma (recent or by history), who live with PTSD, anxiety, depression and other related conditions including hoarding. I work with those of all ages, and am fluent in Spanish.
I use both conventional methods as well as energy psychology methods such as Thought Field Therapy, approved by DHHS/SAMHSA for PTSD and related conditions.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the initial telephone interview, I email the intake papers so these can be completed at home, while my billing specialist verifies the benefits of their insurance (Medicare, Regional Center, etc.). An appointment is set for the initial consultation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an M.S. in Educational Psychology, which qualifies for the Marriage and Family Therapy licensure educational requirements (plus the usual 3,000 hours of supervised work), and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology that qualifies for the California Psychology license (and of course the 3,000 hours for this license of supervised work.) I have also done family planning counseling, social services work, and many years of working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, as well as immigrant families and those in the entertainment industry.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
The current rate is $150. per session, although I do accept Medicare + Supplemental insurance, Victims of Crime and Regional Center clients.
How did you get started in this business?
I have always been drawn to service to others, beginning young and eventually was able to acquire the educational and licensure requirements to do private practice work. I now have learned how to quickly assist my clients to reduce their psychological pain by using Thought Field Therapy which now enjoys approval as an evidence-based therapy for PTSD and other related psychological states (anxiety, depression, etc.) which can be debilitating.
