About
I specialize in depression and anxiety, with a particular interest in substance use, dysfunctional relationships, workplace hostility, and religious group abuse/dysfunction.
Welcome to my profile! I am a licensed clincal psychologist in the West Los Angeles and Santa Barbara areas. I strive to help people become their own authority, which may have been compromised by unhealthy relationships, substance abuse, depression, and anxiety. I focus on the individual's relationship with themselves, fostering an understanding and compassion towards personal strengths and vulnerabilities. I believe it is imperative to address underlying issues with out judgment or shame, so that we can heal parts of the self that are no longer serving us. My clinical training is in psychodynamic therapy, and I tend to gravitate towards an attachment based and humanistic approach.
I have a particular interest in issues associated with cultivating a healthy relationship with oneself and others. Specifically, those recovering from codependency, narcissistic abuse, religious groups, drug and alcohol abuse, and wrongful termination.
I know finding a therapist that is a good fit can be a trial and error process. My approach is direct, but also kind. I hope to collaborate with you to get your needs met both in therapy and your life.
