Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Fees start at $250 and then increase based on complexity of tax return.
Accounting and Bookkeeping services are provided on a monthly recurring basis and the fee starts at $300 per month. This price includes the business tax return in the following year as long as the client has been a customer for the entire year. If a client comes onboard mid-year or later a prorated catch-up fee will apply to bring the books current. This fee is a flat fee of $1800.
How did you get started in this business?
I volunteered for an IRS program called Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) while serving in the United States Navy. This set the stage and desire to continue into the accounting and tax preparation industry after I completed my military service. During the last couple of years while still on active duty military service I layed out my business plan, went through the requisite training to become a California Tax Education Council Registered Tax Preparer. After my first couple of years in preparing taxes I began receiving more requests to perform more accounting and bookkeeping services so then I decided to pursue advanced education by completing a Master of Accountacy and then immediately after that I completed the Masters in Business for Veterans from the University of Souther California Marshall School of Business. These advanced degrees helped propel my business forward and now I'm focussed on growing my business.
