How did you get started in this business?
Began my career working for a State and Federally Funded Consulting Organzation geared to support manufacturers in California, ultimately leading me to work directly for a number of manufacturing entities; many of which were family owned. While working in such industries and environments I found more and more responsibilities to support not only the "business" but its shareholders (i.e. owners, adult children, and their families) in tax preparations, long-term tax planning, sister-company accounting support engagements and a pleather of many other activities supporting the "Family" as a whole. All of which led me to being a business owner myself and providing my MANY expertises to general populous! And I am still having fun supporting professional services for my Customers!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have extensive experience working with Individuals, 1099 earner's, LLC's, Partnerships, S-Corp, C-Corp, Company's and Small Business's needing accounting services, W-2, 1099 preparation services. Helped many set up internal controls, accounting applications / software, streamlined processes, 401k assistance, etc. You name, I've done it!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Incorporating a support group in becoming a legitimized Non-Profit S-Corp which is now able to receive donations from members directly vs. donation being sent tot the larger organization; thus allowing the now legitimized smaller support group to be able to continue to cover the expenses and keep the support group platform available to all they serve!
Very grateful to have had the knowledge to not only provide pro-bono services but also provide a significant cash conytribution directly to them as well!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Give me a call; let's discuss your needs. Even if you don't choose to hire me, I will get you headed in the right direction and arm you with knowledge to help you in your current situation or specific needs!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Be prepared to share ALL specifics, have your notices or pertinent readily available to go over with the professional, and make note of any specific questions or concerns you want to cover before engagement. This will prevent you having to spend more money on an amendment of a return, questions after services rendered and a needed matter being addressed after the fact.... And to just generally ensure you have your questions / concerns addressed upfront and avoiding misinformation or misunderstanding of the service needs to be addressed as a whole.
