Eric Shapiro is a highly successful and well-known attorney, who represents people in all walks of life throughout Arizona and California. Mr. Shapiro was born in Chicago, Illinois. He is the son of Irwin Shapiro, M.D. (a local orthopedic surgeon) and Heidi Shapiro (a counselor in family relations). In 1974, he moved with his family from Chicago to Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Shapiro spent his formative years in Phoenix and graduated from Camelback High School. Looking to spread his wings, Mr. Shapiro moved to Atlanta, Georgia and attended Emory University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology. Mr. Shapiro returned to the Valley of the Sun after his graduation to seek a law degree at the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. Mr. Shapiro graduated with a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree in 1997.

Mr. Shapiro was admitted to practice law in Arizona and became a member of the State Bar of Arizona in 1998. After an initial period of employment with a local, high profile personal injury/criminal defense attorney, Mr. Shapiro decided to “hang his own shingle” and established Eric S. Shapiro, Attorney at Law, P.L.C., dba Shapiro Law Group. Mr. Shapiro has also been admitted to practice law in the U.S. District Court for Arizona and is a member in good standing with the State Bar of California.

Mr. Shapiro is affiliated with several legal organizations; however, he remains most active with the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association/American Association of Justice and the American Civil Liberties Union.

As the owner and main partner of the Shapiro Law Group, Mr. Shapiro operates and supervises the firm, while simultaneously litigating cases. Mr. Shapiro has personally participated in countless mediations, arbitrations, depositions, and trials.
