Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
· First, I take time to talk to the customer.
· Second, I collect vital information from the customer to see first if I am the best fit for the job.
· Third, I give my suggestions and/or opinions, and proceed to finalize or conclude the job within the time frame.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a law degree from outside the US, and multiple certificates and college courses on accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and business strategies. I have a master broker license and a Journeyman certification. I am also studying legal study in US. To insure and assure the accuracy of my work to my clients, I retain lawyers and attorneys in all fields to work with me whenever needed.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
To keep the access of getting a quick non-legal answer easy and cost effective we charge a minimum base price of $35 per 30 minutes for the first two thirty minutes of consulting, and if goes above that first two thirty minutes we charge $120 per hour.
Let’s simplify it:
First 30 minutes: $35
Second 30 minutes $35
Thereafter $120 per hour
So, the first hour we only charge $70.
How did you get started in this business?
I love helping other and give back to the community. I started in the financial business when I when to Jackson Hewitt to get my taxes done back in 2000. I had about five W2. That was in Atlanta, GA. The agent wanted to charge me $500 but expecting a federal refund of $600. I came to US in 1998, can’t speak proper English. Just my opening my mouth that tells you I wasn’t born in the US. So, people take advantages of that without realizing your knowledge from where you come from. That same year I went to Jackson Hewitt tax court just to learn how to prepare taxes. After I have learned that, with my accounting and legal knowledge from my country and all the other seminars that I took throughout the year, I prepared my own taxes and find out that my refund was going to be more than $1,200 and plus I did not have to pay to prepare it. Since then, I despaired in these companies, which is motivating me to help is much taxpayers is possible to receive what they are entitled for.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I worked with businesses with payroll, accounting and/or bookking needs, businesses such as restaurant, outpatient, non-profit organization, etc. and I also workd with individuals who want to start a business and just wanted to get their taxes done.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have client by the name of Pastor Joe who is a chaplain for Saint Joseph Hospital for many years. He came to me by referent almost ten years ago. Pastor Joe told me that he went to H&R Block to get his taxes done they said to him that he will have a refund of less than $6,000. He felt that is odd for him to have a such low refund amount. When he came to me, to make that long story short, I have to call the IRS to have the Hospital change the way they processed pastor income. Pastor Joe was legally qualified for more than $12,000 in federal refund. I asked him to amend the last three years and get him another $4,000 plus per year. Still today Pastor Joe is still my client.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Never fall short whenever a professional tells you their title and their experiences first before they hear your needs. An experienced professional never brags about their title and experiences, they just work and let the others do the bragging for them. Because, the other will tell the true about the profesional, the Pros and Cons.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Think of you going to a doctor, just tell the professional your problem, your needs and your expectation or the outcome, let him find the solution and help guide you to the right path without an extra. A true professional is more for keeping the client than charging their fees.
