Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Depends on what the client wants. Sometimes we meet in person, sometimes over the phone, other times via email. We are very flexible and will work with whatever suits the client's needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelors in Accounting from ASU
Master of Taxation from ASU
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Prices depend on what forms are filed and how much work is involved with preparing the return. We are less than 1/2 the price of the big guys and our service is second to none.
How did you get started in this business?
I have always known I wanted to be an accountant but never knew what I wanted to do in the field. When an opportunity arose to learn how to do taxes I jumped on it and the rest is history.
What types of customers have you worked with?
With over 25 years of experience, there isn't much that we haven't seen.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I just amended someone's return and saved her over $12,000 in taxes.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure they know what they are doing. Nothing irks me more than seeing a "professionally prepared return" with errors that should not be on the return.
Family friends will "do your taxes for free" but sometimes you get what you pay for. Trust tax professionals to file your taxes, not your engineer uncle. :-)
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
No question is a dumb question. When you think of a question during your daily routine, write it down so you don't forget when you are talking to us.
