What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with you would be us pulling all of your transactions from your bank account down to the banking feed. We then would go through each transaction and categorize it correctly with the right account and then we would add it to the register. At the beginning of the month we would reconcile all bank and credit card accounts along with the general ledger. After reconciling we would then prepare financial statements so you know where you’re at with your business on a monthly basis. We also provide payroll, invoicing, accounts payable, training and support.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in accounting and I'm a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor.
How did you get started in this business?
I have loved numbers since I was little. I decided to go into accounting and finished my degree. I started off by interning at a CPA’s office. I then worked at companies as a full charge bookkeeper, accounting manager and CFO.
What types of customers have you worked with?
i have worked with a variety of service-based businesses including, but not limited to, dance studios, photographers, auto mechanics, electricians, magazine publishers and many more.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I completed back-up work for a current client going back 5 years. Once I was caught up and I sent my client the financials she was over-joyed with tears because no one has ever been able to get her caught up. Not only did it bring her joy it brought along tears from me too. I LOVE to make sure my clients are financially fit.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure they are an expert in this field. Often people will start out bookkeeping and charge $20/hour. This only shows they don’t have the expertise
