Edward Jones - Brian Canales

About

Clients love our process and really learn how everything all works. I have been told that I really explain things well, to where clients have a clear understanding of what we're doing. I really get to know our clients in an initial meeting and I learn how to explain investments to them. I never want a client to invest in something they do not understand.

I really enjoy helping people and I know 100% that this is my calling. I find that every part of what we do is fun and fulfilling.

Frequently asked questions

I prefer to schedule a 1st meeting where we both really get to know each other and where I can really get to understand what's important to a potential new client. I can't really give someone solid financial advice without knowing them.

We dig in pretty deep in this meeting and start putting together a Financial Strategy right away. My goal is to make sure everyone leaves our office knowing 100% if their plan will work.

I usually ask potential clients to not make a commitment to work with us during this meeting, encouraging them to go home and absorb what we have discussed. Our 1st meeting can take about an hour to an hour and a half.

We follow up and schedule a 2nd appt if we both mutually feel like we're a good fit.  During this 2nd appt we will dig in deeper to account and investment options suited to them. Then we will open and set up their new Edward Jones accts, following up afterwards with quarterly calls and an annual review.

Edward Jones provides us with very stringent, dedicated, and ongoing training. We spend 4 months in training before ever being registered Financial Advisors with our firm.  I also personally have over 2 decades of business and finance experience, as well as extra research and training which helps me be a leader in our industry.

We offer different ways of doing business together, giving our clients the choice on how they pay for our services.  We have even blended types of accounts to really tailor investments to different clients.  No two people are the same and their Financial Plans and Investments should not be the same either.

These choices are completely and thoroughly discussed, so clients know exactly what their complete cost is.

I became a financial advisor to help people. I longed for a career that would give me a purpose and I truly believe it is my calling to do what I do.

Clients prefer our personal, one-on-one meetings, where we get to know you, understand your goals and develop individual strategies to help reach them. We focus on helping serious, long-term individual investors, some with complex financial needs. Our clients range from professionals, business owners and retirees to organizations.

Common mistakes I see investors make is not making the time to put together a strategic financial strategy or routinely review and adjust that strategy. Another mistake is assuming we are only available to high net worth clients or that we are too expensive.

What really is important to you?  I hear all the time "money" or "making money", but it's really what you plan to use money for that's most imortant.  Most of the time I catch clients off guard as we dig in deeper to these questions.  Most of the time they have never really thought of it.  We help clients map it all out and take the stress out of it.
