    Frequently asked questions

Before meeting with a customer we have an interview process. Not all money or customers are for us; and vise-vera.  We listen through an introduction of yourself and determine which is the best way to help. We then make an appointment for us to meet. "due to Covid" we are meeting now Virtually only

All consultans have 2+ yrs. of tax preparation experience, a 2 - 4 yr. college degree in business or finance; and or have attended a certified tax training by the IRS.

We offer a flat fee for all clients. Personal (individual) prices are $479; and for businesses the fee is $679.

Price includes federal and state copies of taxes filed, audit protection, all preparation and filing fees.

In 1985 at the ripe age of 19 and a single mom; I started preparing taxes for myself, friends and family. Going professionally into business in 1996 as an event planner; started looking for other streams of income. I was then  approached by a friend to start preparing taxes professionally. I then sought out the necessary training and cultivated Temple Enterprises which houses a number of businesses. Temple Financials being one that was established in 2015 were we have been thriving and moving forward every since.

We work with all types of clients from the low income, moderate to high income levels; well as small businesses to moderate or large companies. We also price our fees on a case by case basis for low income; these individuals would include those who fall under the category of household help; and or the one member established llc.

We try to take away all fear that one may have regarding the IRS. My first paid client back in 2015 had custody of her grandchildren; she is retired and on disability and had not been paying taxes on her disbursements. Fearful of what would happen; we sat down and went through all paper work and not only did she walk away not having to pay; but with refunds for both years that she filed. Clients are fearful of IRS; and it is up to us as preparers and consultants to allieviate that fear. Leaving each customer with the assurance that all is well, and there is nothing to fear in regards to retalliation or seige. May have a fear that our governnent would like to come and just wipe us out; and that is further from the truth. IF you are truthful to them; they are true to you. Everyone has to do their part in maintaining the goverment, no matter how large or small.

Problem solving skills are a must; make sure that your professional has excellent problem solving skills, and require that they are as personable and as accomodating as possible; making sound decisions for the betterment of you their client.

Effective communication plays a key role in any business; this should be clear, concise and revelent to the matter at hand. When it comes to taxes; commuciation should be as if a 4 yr old could understand and walk away with a clear view as it pretains to their need.

All professionals need to be confident; the client needs to be at ease that you are credible in all  matters of their finace.

Professionals should be motivated; stay focused on the task at hand; for the tendency to procrastnate is how many lose clients.

All professionals need to be consistant;  and have the ability to pay close attention to detail; that is essential for day to day operations.

Creativity is an essential trait for any tax professional. Problem solving in the tax world is not always cut and dry and it takes a creative mind to be more analytical to solve those issues.

It is also very important to be accomodating to your client's needs; but it is even more so important to know when you need to put your foot down. This pretains to any money owed for an unreasonable amount of time. It is very important to stand by your principals. Even if this means that they seek out other professionals.

Honesty, one of the most important qualities that connects to every trait listed above. When you have insight into how your clients manage their money; honesty and integrity are of the utmost importance. Speaking truth is better than a web of lies. Integrity is everything in this business;  for the safety of you and the client.

Last but not least; accountability, it is important in terms of maintaining both client confidence and business accuracy; and important for sanity. It is all about balance between accuracy, precision and honesty. Own up to any mistake be accountable for errors; for to error is human. No one is perfect, but to admit when you are wrong goes along way with a client and for future business.
