Inception Hypnotherapy
About
For most people, exposure to hypnosis is limited to watching TV or seeing a demonstration in a public setting, such as a carnival or fair. Usually the hypnotist will direct the subjects to do silly things, such as clucking like a chicken, or forgetting the number 7 exists. These demonstrations of hypnotism are meant for entertainment purposes only. However, a skilled hypnotist using the techniques of coaching, teaching, guiding, instructing and training, may effectively address these issues:
Smoking Cessation
Weight Management
Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Pain management
Public speaking
Situational stress
Sleep Improvement
Apprehension and fears
Self-control
Self-confidence and Optimism
Goal setting or priorities
Enhancing personal skills
Interpersonal relationships
as well as many more.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Client education is key to succesful hypnotherapy. The first session is usually about 2 hours long, concentrating on educating the client on what hypnotherapy is, what it isn't, and what to expect. By sharing this information, clients relax, and aren't nervous about the process of hypnosis. Therefore obtaining a succesful outcome is much easier.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
- Smoking cessation (the easiest issue to address) is two sessions, with a total cost of $350. My success rate for smoking cessation is about 95%.
- Weight management (the most difficult issue to address) is 15 sessions, and the cost is $150 per session.
- All other issues are $175 per session. It's impossible to predict exactly how many sessions are needed for any particular issue, but I see my average client for 7 sessions.
How did you get started in this business?
I sold a business that I had created and run for 17 years, and had nothing to do. Since I enjoy solving problems, practicing hypnotherapy seemed a natural next career choice.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with every kind of client you can imagine. From children to 90 year olds. Fortune 500 executives to homeless people. There aren't too many issues I haven't helped people overcome. As far as I know, I'm the only hypnotherapist in the US to work with a person with Down Syndrome, and I'm now using a SRT protocols to help people with Misophonia.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A woman with stage 4 cancer asked me to help her control the pain from injections she was receiving, directly into her spine. She was considering stopping them because the pain was unbearable. She reported to me that after our sessions, she was able to take the injections and experienced virtually no pain. This helped extend her life for a considerable amount of time. Needless to say, this was very gratifying to know I had helped her in such a significant way.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Unfortunately hypnotherapy is one of the most abused professions, because people who want to make a quick buck read a few web sites and think they can practice hypnotherapy. These charlatans create a negative image, which full-time professionals such as myself have to overcome. Anyone seeking hypnotherapy should inquire as to how long the person has been in practice in that area (the charlatans move from city to city every few months), what training and certifications they have, view their web site (if it's chessy looking that is a warning sign), and if they can view testimonials. Price should not be a consideration, because a true professional will provide services worth what they charge. Charlatans usually lure clients in by charging low rates, but low rates are worthless if the client doesn't benefit.
